Learn To Row

At a West Norfolk Rowing Club Learn To Row course you will build up basic rowing technique and skills in a stable single scull (2 blades), initially with floats, as seen in the photo.

The sessions are run by our team of enthusiastic and friendly volunteer coaches who typically offer one to one teaching. We are all club members and once complete beginners just like you!

Sessions comprise of both land-based and on-water training. Our Learn To Row fee covers all tuition, use of equipment and insurance.

On completion of the Learn To Row course you will be invited to join the club (additional fee), participating in at least 6 weeks of level 1 coached sessions, followed by our level 2 programme honing technique, trying different crew boats and maybe even competing in your first Head race or regatta.

All 2022 Adult Learn To Row courses are now fully subscribed.

We will be offering places for courses beginning Spring and Summer 2023, from January 2023.

Typically our courses run for 6 consecutive Sunday mornings between 9:30am and 11:30am.

Courses are very popular and places limited, so if you are interested or would like more information please contact us as soon as possible on wnrc.club@gmail.com,
